Welcome to GirlGuiding Ledbury District

Girls take what they do in guiding with them as they grow up. Everything from working in a team, to taking the lead, to speaking out on issues they care about. It helps them develop the skills and confidence to become the young women they want to be. And to make a difference to the world around them.

Rainbows (Age 5-7)

Rainbows is all about developing self-confidence, building friendships, learning new things and having fun. Girls get their hands dirty with arts and crafts, get in touch with nature and play games - it's all about learning by doing.

Brownies (Age 7-10)

Girls go along to camps, day trips and sleepovers. They get together with their friends at regular meetings where they learn new hobbies, get creative, explore other cultures and have outdoor adventures.

Guides (Age 10-14)

In Guides you'll get out there and do something really different. You'll create your own campaigns, learn and share new skills and fly down the occasional zip wire. You'll explore new places - Guides go on camps, holidays and trips, enjoy exciting events.

Rangers (Age14-18)

Rangers is a brilliant way to try new things, travel aboard and give something back to your community. Whether you're already a member, or are just starting out, we'll give you a host of opportunities to gain leadership skills, build a network of friends in your area and enhance your CV.

Become a Leader

Volunteering with us isn't just about campfires and helping girls to get their next badge. It's also about empowering girls and giving them new experiences. It's being a role model and helping girls to realise their full potential.

'I love all the outdoor activities and camping and sleepovers. I think it’s great for our age because we haven’t grown out of all the silly and fun things yet.’
Heather
Guide - age 13
At Rainbows we have done sports, races, painted sea creatures and swimming. Next I would like to have a water fight!

Rainbow - age 7
'The more I volunteered, the more I enjoyed myself and the more confident I became. Now I think the most rewarding part of volunteering is seeing the Guides grow and become confident within themselves, like I have.'
